About Nashville's Irrigation

Nashville's Irrigation is an irrigation company serving Nashville and 64 more towns across 12 counties of Middle Tennessee — and we stake our name on how the work goes.

An irrigation system is a hundred small parts under the lawn, and the bad ones water the street, overwater the shade and dry out the sunny corner. Our technicians design each zone for what grows there, install to the utility’s backflow rules, and program the controller for this climate rather than the factory default.

What we do

  • Design by zone. Sun, shade, turf and beds on separate zones with the right heads, so each gets the water it needs.
  • Test and certify the backflow. The annual test the utility requires, done and filed, because it is what keeps your system legal.
  • Program for the season. A controller set for Middle Tennessee — rain sensor on, schedules by month — not left on the default that waters daily.

What we will not do

  • Water the street. Heads are adjusted to the lawn edge; overspray on the sidewalk is a design fault, not a feature.
  • Winterize by guessing. Lines are blown out with air at the right pressure before the first freeze, every zone.
  • Sell a system a small yard does not need. A hose-end timer and two zones is sometimes the honest answer, and it is offered.

What we actually work on

Sprinkler systems and drainage in Nashville.

The irrigation problems Middle Tennessee homeowners bring us most often:

  • Dry patches no matter how long it runs
  • Heads watering the driveway
  • Water bill jumped suddenly
  • Zone stopped working entirely
  • Yard holds water after rain
  • Never been winterized

Who does the work

Every irrigation crew we run carries liability insurance on file with us, holds the Tennessee certification for backflow testing where it does that work, and calls in utility locates before any trench.

Beyond the paperwork, the test is how somebody handles the part of a irrigation job that does not go to plan — the honest call when the estimate has to change, and whether you hear about it before the work or after. The irrigation contractors who stay with us are the ones who have passed that test on jobs we know about.

Why we do not publish reviews yet

No reviews on this site yet: a company this new would have to borrow them, and a system is judged by the lawn it waters.

Where we work

Irrigation technicians serving Nashville also cover Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville; the routes run through 65 towns in 12 counties. Each of the main cities has its own page — what its houses mean for irrigation, who issues the permits, which neighborhoods are inside the run.

If you want to understand the work before you speak to anyone, our irrigation guide covers what drives the price, what your options are and what a badly done job looks like — written so you can judge any irrigation contractor in the region, including us.

Who we are

Michael Blair is the owner of Nashville's Irrigation; he runs it and takes responsibility for every line on these pages. Each draws on the equipment makers’ manuals, Tennessee code and the irrigation trade’s working practice, and is revised when one of them changes, and posts carry his name and a date. Our technicians are licensed, insured and kept to the commitments here, and Nashville's Irrigation stands behind what they install.

Check any irrigation contractor, us too: the Tennessee contractor’s license, where one is required, comes up on verify.tn.gov; proof of insurance should be in your hand before a trench is cut; and your town’s city page names its permit office.
